What Is A Humidor?
In the world of cigars, there is much more to consider than just the cigar itself. The type of lighter and storage container determine the quality of the smoking experience. A humidor is an airtight container that stores, preserves, and ages cigars. Its name comes from the fact that it maintains the optimal level of humidity at room temperature. Cigar smokers usually have a small acrylic glass or wooden box that stores a few dozen cigars. A cigar shop may have a walk-in humidor that consists of an entire floor. A hygrometer is used to track the humidity level. A humidor may be commercially made or it may be constructed by a handy cigar smoker.
